The Downings Bay Hotel, Downings, Co. Donegal has been awarded 3 stars by the AA. The award comes in recognition of excellent facilities and service offered by the hotel.
The AA is Ireland’s longest established and leading Hotels inspection body. They work hand-in-hand with hoteliers and guesthouse owners to continually raise standards in accommodation and dining, with their key focus being hospitality and service from the customer’s perspective.
For hotels, star ratings from one to five indicate the level of service, range of facilities and quality of guest care that you can expect. Hotels are required to meet progressively higher standards as they move up the scale from one to five stars.
The management and staff of the Downings Bay Hotel were all delighted at the news of the 3 star award and felt it was well deserved. The hotel first opened its doors in June 2004 and have, since come a long way in providing an excellent and very high standard service to its guests.
